Photography FAQs

Got questions? I have answers! Here are some of the most common questions I get from my clients. If there’s anything you have a question about and you don’t see it here, GET IN CONTACT WITH ME and ask away!

  • I specialise in houses, brands and travel. I often undertake editorial work, and it’s one of my passions. My husband, Haavard, and I previously captured weddings through our subsidiary brand, Skout Visual Co. but our books are now closed for this service permanently.

  • Absolutely I do! However, travel fees of 80c per kilometre do apply outside a 50km radius from Hamilton 3300 VIC. If you live interstate and would like to book in a photography session, please get in touch so we can discuss travel costs.

  • I do not have a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to my packages. Prices vary across business and product packages, to lifestyle and events. All pricing takes multiple factors into consideration, including the length of the shoot, the amount of photographs, editing, and so forth. I offer an hourly rate for frequent returning customers and start-up small businesses. Price guides are available on this website, but if you have something else in mind please get in touch for a tailored quote.

  • I deliver my photography packages through an online gallery. You will need to register your email (same one provided to me) and I will give you a pin to download your images. This just ensures privacy, and that you and your loved ones are the only one accessing your photos. If you would like to add more emails to access the gallery (like grandparents or immediate family) – this is absolutely fine, just forward your link to them, or get in touch with me and I am happy to grant access. Delivery is outlined fully in your Client Agreement.

  • You will receive the agreed upon amount of photographs in whichever package you book with me. I never offer 'unlimited photographs' in a session, ever. In some cases, I will overshoot and offer you to purchase additional photographs for an editing/licensing fee.

  • For Brand and House photoshoots with collections under 40 photographs, I will endeavour to deliver your photographs within 7-10 business days, with an additional 1 week for large packages. Due to scale, weddings typically take 8 weeks for a turnaround depending on time and coverage, but could take upwards of 10-12 weeks in peak periods or if there are external interruptions to my schedule (i.e. travelling for work, illness etc.). I'm a multi-creative, not just a photographer: I also spend most of my days working in my gorgeous family business Hope & Co. and educating with Haavard in The Creative's Toolkit, so this timeline ensures I can realistically give your photographs the time they deserve. But I do understand you will be very keen to get your photos! So if there is a delay for any reason, I will notify you by email or text (depending on your preference for contact) ASAP.

  • Do not stress, I am super flexible! Growing up in a farming family, I always have an eye on my weather app – and I am conscientious about checking this in the fortnight leading up to our shoot. Overcast is fine, but if the weather is going to blow in sideways and impact our shoot, I will get in touch with you ASAP so we can work out a new date. Reschedules are outlined in your Client Agreement.

  • Plans change all the time, I totally get it it! If you need to cancel your shoot, and do not want to reschedule that’s okay. However, as I am a small business, T&Cs do apply (and in some cases a cancellation fee). Please refer below for stipulations, or to your Client Agreement for full conditions.

  • Yes you can! I offer printing as an additional cost to packages. I offer three standard options: five 5x7”, 1 x A4, or 1 x A3. See my price guide for further info! In some packages, I will offer gifted prints – but these are not contingent to the delivery timeline of your package, and may come some time after package delivery.

  • Yes, my business is fully insured through AAMI. If your business, company, or vendor needs proof of insurance just let me know, and I'll be happy to provide that for you.

  • No. I never provide RAW files to clients because they are essentially data files, not finished images. Unlike unedited iPhone JPEGs, RAW files require specialised software and expertise to process and edit, ensuring the highest quality and artistic integrity of the final photographs.

Photography + Videography
Terms and Conditions

Below is a general outline of the T&Cs associated with booking Georgina Morrison Creative, or any of my subsidiaries, Skout Visual Co. (Weddings + Events), or formerly Georgina Bee (Studio + Product Photography). To view my full client contract, which clients consent to upon payment of their deposit or signing a physical copy, please click here. It is your responsibility as the client to read through your Client Agreement, and raise any questions or concerns with me prior to your session.

  • All sessions and gift cards are currently invoiced. For House and Brand Shoots, payment must be received in full 24 hours before the commencement of your session. For all major sessions and weddings, a 20% deposit is due 5 days after your Booking Confirmation. Weddings: the balance is due in full no less than 14 days before your wedding (failure to do so is in breach of your contract). All Brand and House payments are due no less than 72 hours before your scheduled shoot. Please refer to the Client Agreement or your Booking Confirmation email for specifics.

  • All gift card purchases are non-refundable. If circumstances change, and the gift card recipient does not wish to validate their package, the gift card may be forwarded to a family member or friend who would like to use the package.

  • Circumstances change and that is absolutely okay! But please note, if you have a photoshoot booked and want to cancel with no intention to reschedule prior to paying your invoice, you must notify me a minimum of 5 business days in advance where possible, otherwise administration fees may apply. Particularly where travel is concerned, please be reasonable and provide adequate time for me to cancel any arrangements. If there are any third-party travel expenses covered by the client that are not refundable (e.g. flights) I will not provide compensation. If you cancel within 48hrs of the photoshoot, a cancellation fee of 15% applies.

  • You are welcome to share my photographs to social media platforms of course! But you must credit me in the caption / tag. Instagram @_georginamorrison ; Facebook @georginamorrisoncreative. Pinterest pinning is permitted, but full image credit must be given to @georginamorrisoncreative and the image must not be altered in any way (e.g. with text or graphics over it). This ensures you're acknowledging my IP copyright.

  • You are not permitted to edit or alter my photographs in any way (such as, use a filter or preset on top of the edited photos). Regardless of whether your Instagram feed has a particular aesthetic, you are not permitted to add IG filters or your own presets to photos. I always endeavour to work with my clients to achieve an aesthetic that feels authentic to them, and ensure you’re happy with the images. If you would like to alter the original purpose of the photographs (e.g. to isolate the background and use in promotional graphics) you must receive express permission from me in writing.

  • All of my photographs are my intellectual property. While you might purchase a photography package, it does not entitle you to ownership of the photographs – and therefore, all permissions belong to me. The photos must not be distributed or used beyond personal use (e.g. passed on to a magazine publication) without written permission from me.

  • Publications, marketing businesses, or any third party companies that seek to use my photographs in any way must obtain written permission from me (not one of my clients) and must pay the appropriate usage fee. Failure to do so breaches copyright. If you have a social media account and wish to share one of my images (with no monetary gain involved), you must obtain permission and credit in the caption and tag with my appropriate handle: Instagram @_georginamorrison ; Facebook, @georginamorrisoncreative ; Pinterest @georginamorrisoncreative.

  • I do not offer full refunds, or waiver invoices if you decide you are not satisfied with the photos or videos. I respect your feedback on a delivered product within reason, and if there is legitimate cause for dissatisfaction, and the client can prove no impediment on their end (e.g. changing the brief; the original location; third party interference or impediment; knowingly exposing the contractor's equipment to environmental risk; or far exceeding the agreed upon work when we are already on site) I/we am happy to negotiate a mutual resolution that suits both parties. In the event the client has received value far exceeding what they paid for beyond their original package, all discussions and negotiations regarding the delivered package will immediately cease.

As the client, it is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with my work before booking me, to ensure you are aware of the aesthetic and style of my photographs and videography, and to diligently read our contract before agreeing and engaging my services (accepted once you have paid your deposit and/or signed a physical copy of the agreement). Due to the unpredictability of live events in particular, you the client, accept that there is a given amount of risk and variability involved in the final product delivered. I/We, the service providers (Georgina Morrison Creative, and subsidiaries Skout Visual Co, or formerly Georgina Bee, and associated contractors) acknowledge and promise that we will undertake our work to the best of our ability, and will never purposefully create any impediment to the quality of the work. If you are a current or past client, please read the full Client Agreement here, and get in touch if you have any questions or concerns prior to your session.
