Lost + Found

BARHAM • NSW • AUSTRALIA

Set amongst a backdrop of avocado trees, Lost and Found is tranquil oasis along the Murray River, NSW.

Tucked in amongst avocado trees, nestled near the Murray River, is the tranquil oasis, Lost and Found in Barham, New South Wales.

Hosts, Katrina and Tim (of Barham Avocados) are sharing this phenomenal stay and a slice of their rural paradise.

“Really the story is that we wanted to create a place to escape, to relax to reconnect with yourself,” Katrina says.

“It’s earthy, and real and set among the avocado trees. It’s a place where you can really find peace.”

Some of my favourite details include (see photos below!):

↠ Architectural, concrete lines and shimmering glass against the canvas of a morning sky.

↠ The gorgeous hanging chair, waiting for a cuppa or offering some peace and quiet.

↠ Plush beds and beautiful linen by Carlotta and Gee
↠ The delicate little artwork, sourced on the family’s trip to Italy.

↠ The sun-soaked kitchen. The light poured in while we had breakfast!

Katrina’s mother originally built the house, with a real focus on sustainability and authentic materials.

Katrina says, “The house is meant to look like it’s floating on the landscape so it’s not obtrusive.” — And I would have to agree! In the photo below (one of my favourites) it appears to be hovering amongst the landscape.

Lost and Found has the essence of a wellness retreat, with all the tranquility of rural Australia.

If you’re looking for somewhere to breathe, quiet your mind, and switch off away from the bustle of cities — whether it’s with a group of girls, or as a couple! — this is your spot.

Lost + Found is launching soon – in the meantime, head over and follow @lostandfoundbarham on Instagram for more updates!
